Hi Carson,
to be clear I send you three pics showing all the
different types of bumpers built for the differente 75
models. Note that the front body of the 75 America is
the same of the Milano one, and it's different from
the standard body of the 75. Infact the standard 75
don't have the shock assorber, as instead are fitted
on Milano and 75 America.
One pics shows a blue 1st models of 75 2.000 TD, it
has the same bumper of the 75 turbo (I've not a
standard factory body pic of the 1st turbo to send
you, sorry). You can note from this pic that there is
a line of holes (these are for a best air cooling and
oil cooling) in the lowest part of the bumper.
The second pic shows a standard 75 bumper, it's a
standard 75 1.8 IE m.y. '88 (don't consider the colour
of the bumpers, you can paint them as you want, also
if the various models have specific colours' outline),
you can note in this pic that there is not the lowest
line of holes that you saw in the first pic.
The third pic shows my 75 Turbo America (front wiew),
you can see that the bumper is the same of Milano,
with the outline of the Quadrifoglio Verde (never seen
in Europe Alfa 75 with the body appearal of the Milano
Silver, Gold and Platinum.
If you think that you can take off Milano bumpers and
directly fit the standard bumpers you're wrong. To
make so is not impossible, but needs some works.
Infact, especially back, you can't find in the Milano
the holes for the bumper's holder (in 75 America this
function is made by shock assorbers). So you have to
adapth the standard bumpers with a different holder,
that I think you have to made yourself (never seen
someone who make this stuff). I saw also Milano and
America with the Evoluzione body kit, they fitted it
surely after modifications, because Evoluzione body is
the same of the standard 1800 body.
So, you could fit on your Milano the standard bumpers
or the Evoluzione body kit, but you have, surely, to
make some works to get the bumpers ready to fit.
We in Europe, for example, have the opposite problem:
75 America (Milano) was built only in two different
models, 1800 Turbo America and 3000 V6: they were a
lot expensive (new and also now used, especially Turbo
as mine) so the "America" is quite hard to find (many
standard instead available, also for gift!) and the
owners of the standard body try to fit the America
bumpers on the standard body, having to resolve many
fitting problems.
You have the choice: I suggest you to take your Milano
original, with their beautiful bumpers.
For further infos, don't hesitate to ask me.
regards
Leonardo
